Biography Of Erdal DURAN
 

Erdal Duran was born in Antalya (Turkey) on June 21, 1954. He graduated in 1993 from the faculty of Architecture at the Middle East Technical University (METU) Ankara. After graduation in 1993, he founded the Erdal Duran Architectural Design Office in Antalya. After advancing his profession with projects in many parts of Turkey, he decided to settle in Kalkan and co-founded the NEED COMPANY with his brother Ergun Duran in 1996. Since then he has been conducting his professional life in the small, much-loved Mediterranean town of "KALKAN".
 

Biography Of Ergun DURAN

 

Ergun DURAN was born in Antalya (Turkey) on November 14, 1960. He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Horticulture and Landscaping from the Faculty of Agriculture of EGE University, İzmir. In 1984 he was awarded a masters degree in the Science Institute of EGE University. After graduation he worked as production and directing manager in the Ministry of Agriculture. He then worked for the international seed company Sluis & Groot as marketing and exhibition director. After working for national and international companies, he decided to settle in Kalkan and start a business. In 1996 he co-founded the NEED COMPANY with his brother Erdal and his wife Nilgün.


He is a representative of The CEKUL Foundation (the foundation for the promotion and protection of the environment and cultural heritage) and President of The Association of Kalkan.

 

Biography Of Nilgün DURAN

 

 Nilgün DURAN was born in Antakya (Turkey) on April 14, 1964. She graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Agriculture of ANKARA University (Ankara). She was awarded a masters degree from the Science Institute of ANKARA University in 1987. After graduation she worked for the international seed company Sluis & Groot in the position of experimental research manager and demonstration director. She married Ergun and they settled in Kalkan where they started a business and co-founded NEED COMPANY with Ergun and his brother Erdal Duran in 1996.
